The advisory noted that anomalous temperatures can move to the Northwest this late week in the Northeast. In other areas in the western U.S., the report warns of potential new wildfires due to thunderstorm conditions.
The weather alert, published on June 13, raised concerns about an uptick in thunderstorms in the region. In the late week, warmer weather is forecast in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Meanwhile, a hotter temperature is expected in El Paso, Dallas, Houston, and Memphis.
