The latest weather forecast showed that Central Canada can expect this week a relief from the heat  after residents experienced the unusual and prolonged warmer temperatures in the region.

The cooler weather outlook can be favorable for people with travel plans in Central Canada. Recently, NWN reported the cooler to freezing weather outlook in the Alberta Foothills, Banff, and Kananaskis.

Last week, the forecast noted that Ontario, Quebec and the Toronto Area could experience prolonged warmth due to the ridge of high pressure.

As of October 2, the weather forecast showed that cloudy conditions are expected in the following areas in Canada:

  • Calgary
  • Ottawa
  • Saskatoon
  • St. Johh's
  • Toronto
  • Vancouver
  • Victoria
  • Whitehorse
  • Yellowknife

This week, a chance of light rain can unload in Prince George and Winnipeg. People with travel plans should monitor the weather due to possible rainy conditions.

In addition, an upper-level pattern brought a ridge of high pressure in Canada last week. However, residents can expect on Monday a cooler weather outlook.

Ontario can experience the weather pattern changes this week. According to the latest forecast, Eastern Ontario can anticipate a cooler outlook as temperatures can drop 15 to 20 degrees.

In the Toronto Area and Southern Ontario, a temperature drop is also expected. The arrival of the Fall Weather can unleash cooler air and chances of snow in Canada, which can unfold snowy conditions in Northeastern Ontario.

The dry conditions and vegetation helped to spark the dangerous fires in Canada. Climate change also played a crucial role in the unusual heat and lack of rain, bringing more fire risks.
