On early Monday, the advisory noted potential high-elevation snow in the Central Rockies, Northern Rockies and Intermountain West.
The early October can mark the arrival of early snow in mountainous areas in the West. The latest weather forecast showed that cooler weather is expected on Monday in the following areas:
- Redding
- San Francisco
- Fresno
- Los Angeles
- San Diego
Meanwhile, rainy outlook can unload in Elko, Salt Lake City, Cedar City, Albuquerque and Grand Junction. Homeowners with travel activities should watch out for slower commutes due to slippery or flooded roads.
On Tuesday, the chill outlook and high-elevation snow could be possible. Below-average temperatures are expected in the following areas:

- Medford
- Boise
- Reno
- Salt lake City
- Spokane
- Helena
- Billings
- Casper
- Las Vegas
- Flagstaff
- High Plains
In the midweek, the colder conditions can change into a warmer outlook until Friday. The heat can build up on Wednesday in the following areas:
- Los Angeles
- Phoenix
- Las Vegas
- San Francisco
- Boise
- Portland
- Seattle
The warmer weather outlook can reach 15 degrees above temperatures in the midweek. It can also be favorable to people with travel plans, ensuring to avoid prolonged exposure to hotter weather.

Weather conditions in Wyoming and Colorado
Based on the October 1 advisory, heavy precipitation can unload in Western Wyoming in the early week. Meanwhile, snow conditions can be likely in areas above 8,000 feet in the midweek.
Residents can also enjoy the cooler air in the region. On the other hand, rainy and thunderstorms can hit parts of the Northeast and North-Central Colorado.
The advisory noted the challenging wind conditions and stronger gusts in the region reaching a peak of 40 to 45 mph. The wind outlook can be more noticeable in Summit County and Park County.
