With almost a week before March, weather reports explained that there is a possibility for more winter storms this month.

In fact, spring-like temperatures began to unleash in the South and Eastern United States that could set new warmth records this month.

According to AccuWeather's latest weather forecast, the winter storms in the Northeast are expected to unleash freezing rain and blowing snow starting Thursday.

Weather agencies warned of possible flight delays, road travel disruptions and power outages this week.

The icy conditions and heavy snow could result in travel difficulty for motorists and commuters.

Furthermore, the forecast weather outlook revealed that ice conditions would unleash sleet and wintry weather in Boston, Buffalo, Burlington, Detroit, Chicago and Des Moines.

The National Weather Prediction Center's latest key message warned of intense snowfall in the affected areas, including Southern California and the Midwest.

  • The winter storm is also called a coast-to-coast storm, reaching parts of California and the Western United States.
  • Until Friday, significant snowfall would unload in parts of Canada, Boston and Bangor.

The Weather Network also reported the challenging weather conditions in parts of Ontario and Toronto, causing severe snow and troublesome winds.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather explained that a sudden shift to ice mix and warmer conditions would unfold on Thursday.

  • Columbus, Virginia Beach, Washington and Charleston can expect an unseasonably warm outlook.
  • Rounds of rain are forecast in Pittsburgh, New York City and Buffalo.
  • Ice and rain are expected in Boston. In addition, Portland could anticipate more snow.

Cold-related health concerns due to winter storms

The impact of winter storms could unleash waves of colder air in the Northeast.

An extreme cold could lead to hypothermia and frostbite, especially for those with health conditions.

According to American Red Cross, staying warm during severe winter storms is essential to prevent cold-related health risks.

In AccuWeather's outlook on Friday, the report showed that much colder temperatures would unleash in Charleston, Roanoke, Raleigh, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Virginia Beach, Washinton, New York and Boston.

As a result, wearing layered winter clothes and checking body temperatures help avoid medical emergencies.

On Saturday, the weather forecast said intermittent snow is expected in Toronto, Syracuse and Montreal.

Colder temperatures would continue in Pittsburgh and New York City (NYC).

    On the other hand, the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of emerging wind chills in the Northern United States in the late week.

    NWS advised Americans to reschedule outdoor activities next week and avoid unnecessary travel or commutes.

    The advisory also explained to stay away from ice or frozen lakes because they may melt or cause dangerous situations.
