Wintry weather conditions, with snow, could persist in portions of the Northeast this week, according to the latest forecast.

Motorists in the affected areas should note the weather as the weather conditions could cause slippery and slick road conditions. The driving conditions could result in reduced to poor road visibility.

The chilly weather conditions with snow could be challenging for many motorists traveling to the Northeast. Travel delays and slow commutes could be expected.

Meanwhile, portions of the Midwest could expect significant rain and strong winds that could also lead to travel disruptions in the region.

As weather conditions become more challenging and the winter season is in the air, it is important to always observe the weather before traveling.

According to the latest forecast on December 12, AccuWeather reported snow and snowflakes would unfold in the Northeast, bringing snow and rain.

The forecast said that Monday morning could expect snowfall in Toronto, Syracuse and Scranton.

Meanwhile, the wintry weather on the same day could unleash intermittent snow in Boston and Montreal.

New York residents could also expect rain and snow. At the same time, rain showers could emerge in Washington, D.C.

From Thursday until Saturday, AccuWeather's forecast said wintry weather could occur. Snow could unload in Detroit, Syracuse and Bangor.

On the other hand, icy mixed weather could appear in Washington D.C. and Boston.

Snow lovers could expect snowflakes in New York City. The forecast added that snow with rain showers could unfold in portions of Philadelphia this week.

As the weather conditions could mix with snow and rain, the forecast explained that slippery roads could be a major problem for motorists.

Slowed travel and significant delays could happen on Interstate 80 and Interstate 81.

AccuWeather cautioned motorists to be extra careful in traveling to portions of Boston, Philadelphia and New York City, as travel disruptions could be a problem.

Winter Storm Advisories

On the other hand, the National Weather Service announced that winter storm advisories were issued in the Northern panhandle, which could reach from four to seven inches of snow on Monday.

The advisories said wind gusts could reach up to 40 mph, and snow removal could be difficult due to heavier snow.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service added that inches of snow could unload in New York and northeast Pennsylvania, reaching from four to six inches.
