The National Weather Service Los Angeles / Oxnard CA issued a Red Flag Warning due to the high wind gusts and low humidity in Los Angeles as the region continues to experience Critical Fire Weather.
Red Flag Warning, Santa Ana Event
Due to the strong Santa Ana winds, a weather advisory is in place until 11 AM on Friday over most of Ventura County and western Los Angeles County.
This includes the mountains in Ventura County, the mountains in Los Angeles County, the central valleys of Ventura County, the Santa Clarita Valley, the Santa Monica Mountains, and the southeasterly valleys of Ventura County, both the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles County.
A large portion of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties have experienced widespread gusts of 30 to 50 mph as the current Santa Ana event is still in full swing.
Mountainous regions have experienced typical wind gusts of 50 to 65 mph, with occasional higher gusts of 80 to 90 mph.
Through the rest of the day, the winds will gradually weaken but will still be quite gusty.
There will probably still be gusts of 30 to 50 mph, mainly in the mountains and valleys.
After midnight, there will be a more noticeable weakening, and by late Friday morning, winds will probably have stopped, with lingering wind gusts of 15 to 25 mph expected across favored mountains.
In windier areas, the humidity has decreased to a range of 5% to 12% and is expected to stay there for the rest of the day.
Poor overnight recovery will occur tonight, peaking at 15% to 25%, and then dropping back to 5% to 15% on Friday.
More than 200 weather stations have recorded numerous hours of red-flag weather conditions.
Possible northeast winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts as high as 55 mph. Over windier mountains and hills, local gusts of 65 mph are possible.
Most of the time, the humidity in the area will remain between 5% and 12%.
According to NWS, if a fire starts, there could be a rapid spread of wildfire, endangering both people and property.

The warmest day within the next 10 days is today with a temperature high of 75 degrees.
The highs will continue to drop to the high 60s for the next 10 days.
The lowest, however, is expected on Friday, December 2, when temperatures are expected to reach 62 degrees.
On the same day, there is a 58% chance of rain showers during the day and 32% during the night.
According to The Weather Channel, this will be the only expected rain for the next 10 days and the rest of the days play around partly cloudy, mostly sunny, and sunny skies.
