In the Twin Cities metro area, Tuesday's high will reach about 38 degrees, allowing for melting and thawing. Highs in the southwestern Minnesota area will be warmer, with low 40s predicted for the day's highs. Highs in northern Minnesota will be colder, in the low 30s.
The Twin Cities metro area will experience overnight lows in the 20s.
Tuesday's melting could result in some fog, especially coming from the I-94 corridor and other northern areas. The effects of this might affect how warm it is on Wednesday. The Twin Cities could see a high near 40 degrees, whereas southwestern Minnesota will see temperatures rise into the mid-40s to upper 40s. It will be in the mid-30s in northern Minnesota, however, places, where the fog persists into lunchtime, will be cooler.
