Ever tried searching for a "no-log" VPN service? One google search would tell you that there are numerous "no-log" VPN services on the market. But are these VPN services actually as private as they claim to be? Most of them are not.
If you visit the privacy policy page of these so-called no-log VPNs, you'd find out that most of them are outright lying. One scroll through the page will tell you just how many logs these services actually store. Only a few VPN services have a privacy policy that matches with their claims on the web. One of these VPN services is PureVPN.
Only a few weeks after the infamous FBI scandal, PureVPN updated its privacy policy to reveal in a transparent manner just how much they take care of the privacy of their users. Its privacy policy openly claims that service keeps no kinds of user-generated logs on its system. Every piece of data is deleted immediately to ensure that the users can remain completely private and anonymous on the internet.
This is what is written on the very first paragraph of PureVPN's privacy policy page:
"We DO NOT keep any record of your browsing activities, connection logs, records of the VPN IPs assigned to you, your original IPs, your connection time, the history of your browsing, the sites you visited, your outgoing traffic, the content or data you accessed, or the DNS queries generated by you."
However, many still pointed fingers at the VPN service, claiming that the VPN service isn't a reliable one and that people shouldn't take it at its words. And to be honest, this was a fair question. Is PureVPN as reliable as it claims to be? It is wrong to take anyone on their words.
Thankfully, PureVPN took these questions seriously and actually approached an independent auditor to perform an audit of its networks. Altius IT, a California-based independent auditor known for performing numerous IT audits in the last 15 years, was given the task to perform an audit of PureVPN.
After performing an extensive audit of PureVPN's network including its live vpn servers, Altius IT concluded that PureVPN remains true to the claim of keeping zero logs. The entire conclusion statement goes as follows:
"Altius IT did not find any evidence of system configurations and/or system/service log files that independently, or collectively, could lead to identifying a specific person and/or the person's activity when using the PureVPN service."
Thus, PureVPN joins ranks with other prominent VPN providers who are certified no-log VPN services.
