Amid Tesla's autopilot controversy, CEO Elon Musk published the "Tesla Master Plan Part 2" that includes expanding Tesla's electric car technolgy into vehicles such as trucks and buses, creating renewable energy for homes and of course, making the autopilot technology fool-proof.

Tesla's autopilot feature has been under fire after a fatal incident resulted in the death of a driver. Some claim the discussion and reporting on the matter were out of hand; it led government agencies to launch in-depth investigations on the safety of autonomous cars.

The recent controversy did not hinder Tesla founder Elon Musk to reveal his "master plan." Musk stands by his belief in autonomous cars and announced his intention of developing a fleet of Tesla's so owners can make money from their car.  His plan is in line with his general goal of creating an advanced form of transportationsystem and the sustainable energy.

"We must at some point achieve a sustainable energy economy or we will run out of fossil fuels to burn and civilization will collapse," Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a statement published by BBC. "Given that we must get off fossil fuels anyway and that virtually all scientists agree that dramatically increasing atmospheric and oceanic carbon levels is insane, the faster we achieve sustainability, the better," Musk added.

Some major points of Musk's "Master Plan, Part Deux" include the development of solar roofs that can be fitted in homes for renewable energy. Musk also dreams of making his technologically advanced products more affordable by improving automotive factory efficiency to up to 20 times.

But the part of the "master plan" is his aim to expand the technology and use it in the development of other types of vehicles, like pick-up trucks, 18-wheeler electric trucks and electric buses. This is also to improve public transport.

"In addition to consumer vehicles, there are two other types of electric vehicle needed: heavy-duty trucks and high passenger-density urban transport. Both are in the early stages of development at Tesla and should be ready for unveiling next year," Elon Musk said in a press release.

It is worth to know that Tesla plans is also working on further improving the now controversial autopilot technology. Earlier this month, Musk announced on Twitter that he is working with Bosch and MobilEye to make autopilot "better."

In the end, Musk summarized his plans in simple points, to make electric cars more affordable, develop effective solar roofs and storage for homes, expand vehicle product line and to make autopilot a more reliable car feature.
