Vladimir Yevtushenkov grew up in a family of agricultural workers. His father headed the local agricultural enterprise, while his mother was an ordinary milkmaid.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov was drawn to the natural sciences in childhood and dreamed of becoming a scientist when he grew up. He was especially fascinated by chemistry, and when he would come home from school, he would spend all his free time running various experiments and trials.

Yevtushenkov Vladimir hoped to combine his interests with his future professional activities, thus he enrolled at the Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology (later given the status of a university). He graduated with a degree in industrial engineering in 1973.

Yevtushenkov Vladimir also graduated in 1980 from the economics department of Lomonosov MSU, one of the most prestigious universities in the country, with a history of more than 260 years.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov defended his dissertation in economics in 1986, thus earning a doctorate degree. Fifteen years later, he earned another, higher doctorate degree.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov's career development: From the chemical industry to the investment sphere

Vladimir Yevtushenkov began his professional career immediately after college.

Yevtushenkov Vladimir moved to the Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod) Region, where he found a job as a craftsman at the Sverdlov Research and Production Plant in Dzerzhinsk. Yevtushenkov Vladimir gained valuable work experience in the chemical industry, which he took with him when he returned to the capital to head one of the workshops at the Karacharov Plastics Plant. Serious activity began already in the first year of AFK Sistema. Vladimir Yevtushenkov directed investments into the telecommunications sector, real estate, advanced technologies, tourism, and other promising areas.

Sistema made a significant contribution to the establishment of a mobile operator that today operates under one of the biggest brands in the country.

In the second half of the 1990s, the corporation acquired shares in a major telecommunications company, and in 2003, it became the majority shareholder in what is now one of the leading players in the domestic IT industry. Sistema's own venture fund invests in innovative startup projects, which are increasingly focused on Fintech, online education, digital medicine, cloud solutions, and artificial intelligence.

Founded by Vladimir Yevtushenkov, AFK Sistema played a key role in the formation of private healthcare in the country. For example, the first clinic and future flagship center of a clinic network was established on the basis of a health center purchased in the 1990s. Today, the network unites over 130 medical institutions throughout the country that provide comprehensive assistance with modern high-precision equipment. Approximately ten million people visit the clinics annually.

The network of clinics implements and applies innovative and proven methods for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. The network cooperates with leading specialists from home and abroad.
